Product Details

Use inline with homebrew corny and soda kegs with an existing filter system to reduce CO2 use and transfer time.

The filter housing is reinforced, clear polypropylene and has 3/8" female pipe thread openings. Seal a filter cartridge inside and use two jumper hoses to install the housing inline between two kegs and push beer from the first keg, through the filter, and into the second keg under CO2 pressure. Sanitize all components before use, and clean and dry thoroughly afterwards.

10 inch filter housing

A previous review claims lackluster results due to leakage and falling over during use. Note, these filter canisters are designed to be mounted to a bracket that is secured to a wall or shelf. Most plastic plumbing works well and the thread type is usually NPT (national pipe thread). Please provide these great cartridges with the support they deserve.

Filters well, hard to keep from leaking at connection points

I got two of these along with the filtration kit to make a 3 stage filtration system. It does a fine job of filtering, but it's hard to find a combination of fittings and tube that won't leak. I think the problem lies in the weight of the filters while filtering vs the resistance to twisting or kinking of the tubing. The filters keep falling over during use, and they twist and kink the tubing when they do. They then leak at the connection points. If the filter housing had integrated connection points that allow for a water tight connection of sturdy tubing (or pipe) without twisting it, (so the filters stay upright instead of falling when the tube tries to straighten itself,) this would be a much more user friendly product.
