Good stir option

Works great for stirring during boil, etc. The thing I really like is that they plastic won't scratch my plastic buckets like stainless steel will......much better for sanitation reasons (no nicks in the plastic to hold bacteria, etc). It does get a little soft/flimsy when it's really warm, but not to the point of being unusable.

I've used this paddle for 20+ batches and it hasn't failed me yet. I find it works just as well as more expensive paddles when mashing. It has never had a problem getting through the mash. Works great when aerating wort and stirring in hops as well.

Easy to Clean, Doesn't get Hot

I like this paddle because it's not porous like wood and doesn't conduct heat like steel. At less than boil temps the plastic is rigid enough to use a fair bit of force as a scraper, but when it gets hot it softens just enough that it bends if you muscle it very much.

Durable stirrer. Cleans very easy. I like these better than spoons. Only downside to this is it sometime will get stained from the wort. Not a big deal to me, but maybe for someone. Good value, though.

This is a great general paddle, I own all the lengths and this size gets used often. The plastic has not stained in wine applications but did get a slight off tint in wort. I cleaned up the molding lines on mine with a sharp utility knife then smoothed with a propane torch. Would buy again!

Reliable

I have brewed about 15 batches on this paddle. It is sturdy, and clean up is a breeze. Paddle does change color due to the wert, if that sort of thing bothers you. As others have said due to the heat it does get a little flimsy but not to the point of it not being able to do its job. I prefer to use the paddle over the spoon!

great stirrer for a good price. I agree that it does get a little on the flimsier side when hot, but still works fine. Very sanitary and easy to clean.

This 18" paddle I feel is a little stronger than the 24", but you have to stir and this is easy to use, easy to clean, and last a long time.

This paddle works great in my 5 gallon brew kettle and keeps my hands out of boil splash range! Easy to clean as well.

Not for all grain mashes

Will work fine for stirring extracts in but don't expect to use this as a mash paddle because it is too flimsy for the job. It really yields under the weight of a typical all-grain mash. I still use it for stirring all grain but can't wait to get something more substantial.
