What a convenient way to list the product; everything that works with it is included as an option during the ordering process. My glass carboys (purchased from Midwest) are much than the Better Bottle that purchased. The glass ones don't scratch like the plastic ones and now that other options are included with the ordering process, like the proper sized bung, I don't have to waste time researching whether I'm buying the right attachments. Excellent Midwest!

This is a great way to package a carboy.. everything is there, handle, cap, airlock, bung... every thing.. I like the way the site displays the items that are normally bought with an item.. it makes it so much easier to shop..
Well Done!!!!!

Go with Glass!

When I started brewing, I am happy I started with Glass Carboys. This carboy in particular is made with very thick glass. It is very easy to clean because it does not get etched by the acidic wort, and is easy to keep sanitized for the same reason. I would hate to have little critters growing in scratches in plastic carboys.
Go big or go home....er...Go Glass or go home...

A must for brewing

The 5 gallon glass carboy is a must for brewing. I think buying this carboy although heavy and more expensive than other options will pay off with better tasting and clearer beer.

Can't beat Glass!

When it comes to secondary fermenters - you simply can't beat glass! Sure, they are heavy, and dangerous if you don't have them equipped properly. That's why I get all of my fermenter equipment from Midwest. They truly make it simple to do it right! I have been able to find 5 gal. carboys elsewhere for a buck or two cheaper, but to me, time is money and like being able to click the carboy and go down the list and select the proper handle, bung, etc. All the accessories in one step, and the folks at Midwest know how to ship safely too! Regardless of how many you order - make sure you put a handle on each and every one of them, or strap them. I like the handle because it becomes a semi-permanent part of the carboy and you're never tempted to try to move it without doing so safely. Be safe, brew lots, and enjoy the perfection that comes with a glass secondary. Cheers!

Really an upgrade over the plastic fermenting bucket

I really like this item because it allows you to actually see your fermentation taking place. It also helps at bottling time because you can see the yeast bed at the bottom and can make sure to not suck up any of that into the bottling bucket. This instantly made my beer a lot clearer and without any of the yeast sediment at the bottom of my bottle. Would definitely recommend to a friend

You cannot get a better carboy for the price! I actually purchased this with am equipment kit, but could not be happier! I was worried at first that it might be too fragile, but the glass is so thick that I think you would have to drop it about 10 feet for it to break!

I snagged this carboy about a year ago, I've only had good experiences with it. It cleans easy and the etched bottom helps.

I love my carboy so much! It is awesome to have a 2nd fermentation system in my brewing process. It clears out a lot of sediment all while re-activating the yeast. I went with the glass carboy because of the quality over the plastic one and fears of how the plastic will react with the beer. If you get it, you'll want to use it for every batch and the results will be phenomenal!
