Ok but not for secondary fermentation

This is not like the 3, 5 or 6 gallon carboy. It feels thinner and less rigid. If you're using this for wine making, it is only good for primary fermentation as this 6.5 gallon leaves way too much head space and air at the top of your wine. I use only for primary now, which is fun to watch all that fermentation (be warned that adding ingredients to this narrow opening when starting your batch will require a large funnel).
Only a dollar or so more than the 6 gallon, but more isn't always better.

This is great for a primary fermenting and as stated by David it is fun to watch what's going on.. Easy to clean just swirl with some one step and if that doesn't do it (90% of the time it does) then an angled carboy brush does it.. I'm thinking of getting a second since I lager and am held up until im ready to go into secondary ...highly recommended

Excellent Product

This is much better than the 6 gallon carboy. This one has the extra headspace for an active wheat beer fermentation. It is also easier to clean because it has smooth sides instead of the ridges in the 6 gallon carboy (yeast, etc. is harder to clean out of those ridges).

We use the 6,5 G/25L carboy exclusivily. The workmanship is good, a lighter product that's easy to work with and the glass quality is also to our specifications.

Clear and Made of Glass

Seems to work just fine as a carboy. Haven't tried to use it for anything else. It doesn't have the bracing that a 5gal carboy has which makes it feel less sturdy. But it is definitely still heavy and sturdy and made in Italy for use with water.

Thank you for shipping this so quickly! I really loved the way I could build my own custom order instead of hunting for everything myself. It helped speed up the process. Packing was great and again, shipping was FAST! I received it in 2 days! Amazing.

Heavy but worth it

These carboys are quite heavy but are very high quality and can last a lifetime. I would recommend using a glass carboy over the plastic bucket for primary fermentation.

I use this as my primary exclusively. No ridges to worry about cleaning. Plenty of room for an active fermentation. I've only gone into the blowoff tube once using this fermenter. Great product.

This is a perfect primary fermenter. It has a grove in the neck which is perfect for a carboy handle/holder. The glass is very thick/heavy and is very easy to clean. Quality carboy all around.
