Great bottles

These are great bottles for any wine kit. I recommend using #9 corks with a floor corker. The number 8's may leak a little sooner than expected.

Clear and Green are great!

The clear and the green bottles cork at the same depth! The BLUE Claret/Bordeaux bottles do NOT cork to the same depth! The bottles all function 100% fine, but this is something to consider. Read my review on the blue bottles of the same type!

Can not beat the price on these. Went to our local wine supplier and they wanted almost double for recycled wine bottles.

Good heavy glass, good color, and a good price. They work great, I will be buying more of them. You cant go wrong with these bottles, they will last a long time.

Handsome looking bottle

These are a very nice looking, thick walled sturdy glass, the color is unusual, and friends love them when filled with my wine. They can be a little hard to cork with a #9 synthetic cork. Try a #8 instead. I do think the shipping is pretty expensive. If it was reduced I would buy more.

Nah...prefer the punt
Review by Walter

Yeah, I got these and they serveed their purpose, but since they don't have the "punt" at the bottom of the bottle, they come out looking a little squat and not as impressive as the punted bottles. Personal preference.
Note: this style neck is generally for red wines, but on occasion I have infact seen them with whites

Good Buy

These were delivered in great condition. While we do drink plenty of wine, we wanted all of our bottles to match instead of reusing old bottles. So this was an essential addition to our winemaking kit.

They look nice and are thick. I'm ok without the kick up, they still work fine. I use a #8 cork.
