8" Funnel with Strainer

The funnel is your basic run of the mill funnel that has a lip on the inside that the strainer snaps into. My only complaint about this product is that the strainer has a very small surface area that quickly gets clogged to the point that no wort will run through it. I was lucky to get 1/2 gallon through it before it stopped up completely.

Good funnel at a better price than I could find at my local shop. Same problem with the strainer though, clogged up instantly. I ended up pulling it out and continued with a normal metal strainer.

Works great when transferring wort from boil pot to frementer. It does clog up but I am going to try putting the hops in a boiling bag for my next batch. That should fix the clogging up.

good thick plastic funnel, did the job for transferring the wort to our carboy.. the pop out strainer (not shown in photos) is pretty much worthless for straining a lager wort or ale wort, clogged in seconds.. my brewing buddy and i made a pumpkin ale, it was a nightmare.. we popped the little strainer out and used a bigger 8" wire strainer.. did the job.. if your buying this funnel for the strainer then id say it wouldnt be worth it... good funnel though

Can't brew small batches without this. The funnel is sufficiently large to poor the wort and the strainer does a very good job at filtering out hops and cold break. As others have noted, it clogs very quickly but I continuously stir up the clogging debris above the strainer to allow the wort to flow through.

This funnel gets the job done. Honestly don't really use the strainer at all, mostly just use it for pouring starsan from my bucket into carboys when sanitizing so this gets a lot of use that way. Tried the strainer once but don't pour my wort into the fermenter anymore so there's no need for it anymore.

The strainer clogs and fills pretty fast and easily. Good enough size for most users.

I agree with many of the reviews above, the funnel is great, but the strainer feature gets in the way more than it helps. At least with a separate handheld strainer you can leave the funnel in the carboy, ditch what you strained then get right back to it.

I should have read the reviews. Clogs too easily, otherwise just what I wanted. Will try pre-straining with my old metal strainer next time.
