I like the end product of the distillers yeast a bit better but I have had some huge misses with it where it didn't produce enough alcohol and you better be ready to wait 2 to 3 weeks for it to finish fermenting, it's a very slow process. This 48 hour turbo yeast is very reliable and produces a consistant percentage every time. I usually give it 4 or 5 days and it's just what I'm looking for minus the extra fusels that it produces. Make sure to watch your heads and tails closely with this but otherwise produces great quality stuff in the "hearts".

I use this a lot and have had nothing but good luck with it. It does exactly what it advertises.
I follow the directions exactly, with the exception of not using an airlock. I use one because i'm in a very high dust, very dirty environment and I don't want my mash getting contaminated. it works just fine with an airlock

This yeast works very quickly, and has a very high alcohol tolerance. I've never seen anything like it. Maybe Champagne yeast is the closest I've seen. I use it for making hard cider and it always comes through for me. Its done in a few days, but I give it a full week.
