very good beer Review by Allen

Product Rating:

I have only drank 4-5 bombers so far and I will have to ration it since I split it with my friend. This will be a regular buy absolutely no doubt about it. Great beer!! I dry-hopped with an additional ounce of hops and it has a great nose, great taste, not bitter. Can't say enough good things about it. Not a strong IPA but that's what I favor.

This was my third home brew - easily my favorite so far! Will definitely do again soon!

Good base kit Review by jnobfan

(Posted on 9/16/14)

Product Rating:

This is an excellent base kit for casual brewers like myself to tweak. The base kit is a mild IPA but with a little tweaking from some additional ingredients you can make it your own. If you like big IPA's try adding 1oz of Simcoe hops during the boil and dry hop with Cascade or your favorite.
Sometimes I add extra malt or use less water to make a big winter beer. Play around with it you can't really ruin it. You will have a hard time ordering anything else its so good. Your friends will constantly ask for more.

Great Kit Review by Jason

Product Rating:

This is a solid hoppy pale hale. Had it twice thus far, once brewed by me and once by a friend. Definitely a great choice.

TASTY Review by GARVEY

(Posted on 8/5/14)

Product Rating:

This has become my favorite beer. It has just the right amount of hoppy flavor with a touch of citrus. 2 weeks in the primary then 2 weeks in the secondary using Wyeast. I keg my brew, carbonating 24hrs @40psi then 24hrs @20psi.
Truly is a good beer.

Good but not the best Review by Mazaklr

(Posted on 5/28/14)

Product Rating:

A solid beer, nice color, came out nice and clear, not too hoppy. I think mine came out a little darker than expected. I ended up with close to a 5%ABV on this which I thought was a little low but I think my gravity numbers came out a little low all together on this batch. Overall a good beer if you want to try something a little different from the fantastic IPA's that Midwest has to offer.

excellent Review by plowery

Product Rating:

Pretty much as described. More of a copper color than blond, but the taste description is right on. Reminds me of Sweetwater 420.. Great beer kit. Primary 1.25 weeks, Secondary 1.25 weeks, bottle condition 2.5-3 weeks.

very good IPA Review by OHara

(Posted on 3/5/14)

Product Rating:

This was one of my first kits and it turned out very nice. I used the Wyeast yeast and it was ready in a week. Maybe I kegged it too soon, but the final gravity had reached its specified number. The IPA is really good.

Add to the list Review by Stephen

(Posted on 2/24/14)

Product Rating:

After reading several previous reviews that suggested using more hops, I thought that I would try adding the ones that came with the kit on a different schedule. The recipe said to add the Amarillo hops after 40 minutes of boiling. I added them after 20 minutes and the 2nd ounce with 2 minutes to go instead of after the boil was finished. It is still pretty mild compared to IPA's, but fits the profile and is tasty. This would be a good "between beer" for those who are not quite ready for the full slap in the face of an IPA. I've added it to my list of those to do again.
