The quality of this Amber Bock is amazing. I was told I had the second kit sold, and let me tell you it was the best I've made so far. This 20 minute boil makes you feel like you're cheating, but 1 week in the primary, 1 week in the secondary, and just 1 week in the bottle produced a thick and creamy head and robust, but not too strong flavor that's hard to find in commercial beers. I've got nothing but great comments from everyone that has sampled one. My brother in law and daughter aren't beer drinkers, and they loved it. This is definitely a do-over.

Overall, I was very happy with this beer, it was gone in 2 weeks (threw a vacation in the middle otherwise it might not have made it the full 14 days!). Brew was very easy, the batch fermented very quickly then shut down. I would recommend better aeration at the beginning and possibly a little agitation every couple days. Flat 14 day ferment in the primary, og of 1042 @72 and fg 1014 @72. I will defintely be buying a second kit.

Solid Beer! No complaints, no off flavors VERY SMOOTH FINISH! For a dark beer I was very surprised how well it went down... This keg was the fastest keg to be kicked at my house and that says a lot!

I've been homebrewing for a couple of years, but this is the first time with my 5 gallon setup. I did a single stage ferment for two weeks. I tried one after two weeks in the bottle, but it was a little harsh. After three weeks in the bottle at room temp and one week in the fridge, it was great! It's darker than I expected, but not heavy. It pours with a thick, creamy head and is soooo delicious! This is one of the easiest drinking homebrews that I've made!

This was my first 20 min boil kit and I am pleasantly surprised. Agree with the other reviews, very smooth with no off taste. 2 weeks primary, 2 weeks secondary, 3 weeks in the bottle, then into the keg. My neighbors tried it and then promptly drained the keg the next night. Will be brewing this kit again soon!

Brewed this first of July. Sampled a long the way and it still had bite. 4 months out it is perfect. Taste is exactly like description says with a nice thick creamy head. Great bottle to break out for the friends who fear the Stouts but still want to feel like a Man. (Side note: I had my first kit stolen by a mail thief in the building, Midwest went above and beyond to quickly help me get a replacement, I quickly turned around and ordered a separate holiday brew kit because I was so pleased with the customer service, it's rare these days. Good job guys, you got my loyalty.)
