Amylase enzyme - 1.5 oz.

Amylase Enzyme is typically used by all-grain brewers to add to a high adjunct mash that may be low in enzymes to aid in converting starches into sugar. This enzyme can also prevent starch haze in beer. Use 1 teaspoon per 5 gallon batch. Size: 1.5 oz.

Useful for corn and rice adjuncts Review by Jason

Product Rating:

It helps with some of my light lagers when I use adjuncts that can't convert themselves. Anything that's unmalted will benefit from this.

For very high adjunct mashes Review by Koosman

Product Rating:

I've been trying out different grains and some combinations of adjuncts and base malts don't work out. The diastatic power of the base malt isn't high enough when the mix is 50-50. using this bottle gives a much better result and a higher original gravity and doesn't affect the final flavor.

Has it's place on my shelf Review by Redmond

I add it when making Barley Wine to make sure I get full conversion. I want to extract every ounce of fermentables I can and on my system a bigger mash doesn't give the best efficiency.

Helps conversion efficiency Review by Hank

Product Rating:

I use it with un-malted grains, to help them convert. And on some of my bigger beers I don't get as good conversion as I'd like so I add this in to help make the wort more fermentable.

Amylace Enzyme Review by McGill Dennis

Product Rating:

While the two bottles I ordered had different labels, the product worked as expected in my potato beer. Converting the potato starch to sugar.

I was a little disappointed in the slow delivery. ( A week from the cities to northern Wisconsin)
