a nice, middle-weight ale - not to heavy, not too light; the carmel taste at the end is very pleasant; try this one - I really like it; very "drinkable"

It's a very good right down the middle beer. If I was to add coffee to another brew I think this will be it.

Surprised everyone with this. Light bubbly, kinda like a Beck's beer, I remember.

Most everyone thought it tasted like a Sam Adams Ale or a Saranac. Thought it was a bit maltier than those ... one of my first attempts at kegging and it turned out good. will probably brew this one again.

I brewed this beer hoping to taste something new. To me, the beer lacked flavor. Not that it wasn't good - it isn't what I am used to drinking. If I brew it again. I will add more hops for flavor. Not my first choice. Back to the Irish Ale

Truly favorite so far

This is truly my favorite beer so far. As mentioned, middle of the road beer, having a perfect balance of sweetness and bitter that the first drink my taste buds were on over load, with the perfect subtle after taste. This beer did not last long in the refrigerator. Bought some off the shelve beer for when friends would stop by and told them that I didn't have any home brew ready for drinking so I could keep this one for myself.
I will brew this one again.

My 1st brew

I chose this one for my 1st brew and it went without a hitch. I am an experianced drinker but have never brewed until this batch. Great drinkability. I agree that this reminds me of Becks. Sort of. I can drink these one right after the other without getting tired of it. Certain beers bore me quickly or become "gross" (for lack of a better word) to me after a few of them but this one is very long lasting. I can taste the caramel but I dont get the "peppery" like is described. It is probably just me though. Personally I would try a 2nd addition of hops at the end also. I think mine came out too carbonated but it didnt affect the taste at all. I drink slow so it mellowed out after a bit. Great color, great taste and great smooth head. I recommend this for a beginners brew. Heck it worked awesome for me and I am an idiot. Thanks Midwest!!

So far, my favorite kit

Really enjoyed this beer, well-balanced (not too malty or too hoppy), very drinkable. This was the first brew where I controlled the fermentation temperature so I'm not sure how much effect that had. I would highly recommend this kit. I did use Wyeast.

Good Session Beer

This is a great session beer. Easy to make, especially for a beginning homebrewer. Not as much hop flavor and aroma as I might normally like. The thin bodied and easy drinking. A great beer to give to friends and family.
