Our 6.5 gallon bottling bucket comes complete with a pre-drilled hole, and an Italian bottling spigot for easy bottle filling. Product Rating:

Way faster than individual priming. Tight seal on spigot. Easy to operate valve and easy to take apart for cleaning.

Consistent carbonation Review by Koosman

(Posted on 3/15/14)

Product Rating:

I have much more consistent carbonation since using the bottling bucket. Make sure your priming solution contains 2 cusp of water so it's all dissolved. After pouring it in while racking, I occasionally restir it to keep it evenly mixed.

Forget adding sugar to bottles use a bottling bucket. You get a more uniform carbonation and its less mess and easier and faster.

Ideal for bottling Review by Koosman

Product Rating:

Well suited to bottling, the spigot is fine and no lid is needed since it's a bottling bucket not a fermentor. Get a long plastic spoon to stir in the priming solution.

Works well and is cheap, but should come with a lid & shorter spigot Review by MarkR

(Posted on 12/30/13)

Product Rating:

Bottling buckets are simple, easy and cheap, and this one is no exception. It has worked well for bottling multiple batches. Two gripes: 1) the bucket should come with a lid, but mine did not, and 2) the spigot in the straight up/down position is lower than the bottom of the bucket, meaning you cannot put it down on the floor without fouling the spigot and putting undue stress on it (it should be slightly shorter--easy to do at home with a Dremel). If you don't want to modify it, just tilt it 45 degress to clear the bottom.

makes life easier on bottling day Review by Redmond

Product Rating:

Its easy to use and way better and more uniform than adding sugar to each bottle, which ends up spilling a little here and there on the floor.

Necessary Review by Macaille

Product Rating:

Don't rely on your Home Depot orange work pail to work...it won't. This secondary fermenter bucket is essential to your brewing (especially when starting) and bottling. Don't second-guess whether or not you need this,

This is the only way to bottle Review by Hank

Product Rating:

Just dump in the sugar water, gently mix it in, and start filling bottles. I get even distribution of sugar, it's easy to clean, and lasts forever, unless you get an infection in it.
