Great kit to get started

I recently purchased this from Midwest and I'm extremely happy with it. My beer is carbonated perfectly. The only very minor thing about the regulator is it will creep up a bit when turning the knob. Just move the knob slowly and wait 20 seconds for the pressure to equalize and your good. I've recommended this kit to others already.

It's been working fine...

So I bought this rig a few months back, and it's been working great! Threw the whole thing in a cheap old fridge and no more horsing around with a million bottles all the time. Force carbing is a nice bonus, too. Just buy one already.

Should have gone for the dual tap system

I've been using this systems since the Christmas holidays (2010) and it works like a champ. My only regret is that I did not go for the dual tap system right away. You will want to be able to force carbonate one keg while pulling smooth drafts from the other.

Good place to start

I got this more for force-carbonating than because I was tired of bottling, but now, I'm converting a fridge I picked up cheap on Craigslist, and am plotting my dual-keg system. The keg is fine, the CO2 bottle is fine, the regulator is lower-grade, but acceptable, and the price is decidedly right. But be warned - you'll want to add on to this system, almost certainly.
Find out where you're going to get your CO2 tank refilled, and whether they fill or exchange, before you spend extra on the brand-new tank.

I'm new to the homebrew scene and bought this kit to avoid dealing with the hassle of bottles - big win for me!
This is a great kit! Easy to set-up. Easy to use. Expandable in the future.
Still getting the hang of carbonating, but that's part of the fun - right?
Before ordering - call around and see where/if you can get your CO2 tank filled. Every place I can find (near me) just swaps tanks. I was a little bummed I paid extra for a new tank, but could only swap for a used one . . .

7 months later

I have had this for nearly 7 months, and it's still going strong. The only thing I've had to do was pop the face off the regulator and give the dial a quick bend. The keg came nice and clean seals great. I would recommend anyone that already has a spare fridge get a dual system tho, if not you can always get a splitter and and extra keg down the road like I plan to do.

Keg was *almost* clean

I'm fairly happy with my new kegging system. Though I expected to have to disassemble and thoroughly wash the reconditioned keg, I was dissappointed to find that the in and out posts had not been disassembled and cleaned before shipment. They were still sticky and reeked of soda, and the dip tube/gas tube O-rings were in poor condition relative to the rest of the keg. Still, the rest of the keg was clean and functional, and the gas and beer lines were assembled and well sealed. The regulator is cheap and flimsy and slow to respond, but works all the same. I was able to keg and force-carbonate my beer without any snags.

Great Setup For First Keg

All around a good buy, I already had all the brewing equipment, I just wanted to make to leap into kegging. The keg I received was in great shape and there were no leaks. I only wish that I would have gotten the 5lb co2 tank with it. I thought I could save some money finding my own.

This is a great kegging system for someone fairly new to brewing/kegging. The keg is used, and has some minor scratches and dings, but nothing that wouldn't be incurred within the first few months of use anyway. I was impressed with how clean it was - very little to no residual soda smell. All around, a great buy, and one that you can use your whole life if you take care of it.

Bought this a few months ago as my first kegging system. Tired of bottling so this was the next step. Keg showed up better than what was expected (reading some other reviews). No leaks and all seals were new. Not a mechanical type of person but was not hard to disassemble and clean myself. Did have a problem with the regulator as it was leaking even after disconnected from keg. I brought it into store and the replaced it without hesitation. New one works great. I now see the need for having a dual tap system.
