Good wine if aged Review by Koosman

(Posted on 2/18/14)

Product Rating:

I started tasting after 6 months and it wasn't ready. At 9 months it had improved. Now at 12 months it's ready. I'll have a bottle every 2 weeks to see how it changes over time.

Wasn't sure, at first Review by Dave

a little background. I have no sense of smell nor taste (so what the heck am I doing trying to make beer and wine? Did anyone ask why Beethoven tried writing music after going deaf?) My wife hasn't been too keen on my wines, preferring commercial brands. This one she did not like, at first. That was Jan, 2011. Now, fast forward to 1/2014, after aging, she loves it! So, be patient. Taste it a couple of times along the way, but plan on letting it mature awhile! Oh!, I also added malolactic bacteria, which I think helped in the long run. I ended up costing this one out at ~$4.30/750ml bottle. Definitely worth it! I am re-ordering now so it'll be ready when we are. Enjoy!

For the price it's got great taste and aroma. I really enjoyed it, and my wife couldn't believe that I had made it and not bought it somewhere.

I've made it twice Review by Anthony

Product Rating:

It's a delicious wine that holds it's own against wine in the $15 range. It gets better over time so I wait until nine months before drinking it. It's good value for the price, you get a lot of wine from this kit for just $80.

Great wine kit. It has a somewhat dry finish to it. I left mine in bottles for 10 months. People in my group swear I bought it from the store.

This is a great red wine. Leave it in the bottle for at least 5 months, and you will have wine better than you buy for $20 a bottle. will buy this again.
