As heavy and slick as wet carboys are (even when empty) having a means of getting a secure grip an your carboys to lift them is absolutely essential. These carboy handles do a great job. I now have them on all my carboys.

This is a must have for using glass carboys, they get extreamly slippery when wet this helps you get a better grip on them. They are very fairly priced. Once you put it on your caroby you wont take it off to move to another one so my advice would be to buy one for each carboy really makes life a lot easier!

If you are going to be getting a class carboy than you must spend a few extra dollars and get one of these handles. For me, moving carboys up and down stairs in my house gets very scary, especially when you have a full carboy of red wine (and if you spill that stuff your wife is going to divorce you on the spot!). This handle just makes it a lot less stressful and convenient to move your carboys from one room to the other.
And I also agree with the other reviewers... a wet carboy can be extremely slippery. It just is not worth the risk and worry of dropping it.

This is a great little handle! Do yourself a favor and pick up one for each carboy you have. They make moving a full carboy less precarious.

This handle is perfect for anyone that wants to save some coin while being able to securely transport heavy carboys full of their favorite brew. $5.99 to make sure you don't break a $30 carboy is a great investment in my eyes...

Fits on all my 5-gallon carboys (3 different manufacturers). The one with the widest neck requires taking the wing nut off, but still fits well. But be careful! I have broken a carboy using this type of handle. Lift slowly and use your other hand to support the bottom - just enough to keep the top level.
