It should be a law to include this with all glass carboys. 2 of the members of my brew club did not have these on when the carbo slipped from there hand causing major injury when they broke.

When moving around carboys, this is a MUST have! When carboys get wet the tend to get very slippery, this help get a good grip.

Too large for a 6.5 gal carboy

I thought this item would be great for moving my 6.5 gal carboy, but it is way too large to be used on a 6.5 gal carboy. After fully tightening this product it slips right off the top of the carboy. I replaced it with the model that fits 5 - 6 gal carboys, and it worked great.

This is definitely a must have. Carboys get super slipery when wet and should NOT be handled or moved when full without one of these. I have one of these on all my carboys and make the handling and moving of them so much EASIER and SAFER!!

I used to lug a full 6.5 gallon glass carboy across my hard floor hoping I wouldn't drop it, but with this handle, I know I am safe.

One for every carboy! These make washing and transporting safe and easy. Fits perfectly in the grove on the neck of a 6.5 gallon carboy. The smaller one wont fit!

I purchased this item as a little extra insurance against me dropping a 6.5 gal glass carboy. Looks really sturdy, nice to have a handle on there for control.

This handle fit both of my 6.5 gallon carboys, even though one of them is a style from 30 years ago. the rubber coating is thick and the steel is plenty beefy. Very good value.

This unit fits well on my Italian Made 6.5 carboys. The fit is a little snug to get it on and off but well worth the effort. Fits all the way down on the neck of my carboy(my glass Italian 6.5 are threaded for caps) just like any other carboy. These are a must have for handling and washing carboys! While you should not use the handle while the unit is full it is well worth the cost once you wash a carboy with this installed!
