Getting rave reviews from friends

I'm new to brewing and this Belgian Witbier is only the second batch I've made. It was very easy to brew and the results were outstanding. I've had friends compare my first batch (a kit from another company) to this batch and hands down, this one is everyone's favorite. Midwest Homebrewing is now the only supply store I'll buy from.

This has got to be one of the most popular beers I have made. It is very drinkable with a great soft wheat character and the spices are just right. I made 5 different ales for holiday gifts and made this one for drinking at home but everybody likes this one best! I have to say it has been disappearing so fast I am going to have to make at least 10 gallons next time! Value is great as well since the kit is pretty much the exact cost of the raw ingredients. Great head retention (it is a wheat beer after all) and nice balanced flavor. Classic. I would maybe do a late extract addition to get the nice gold color since mine was a bit darker than desired but not to worry. One of my favorites and a great crowd pleaser.

I ordered this kit and the Grand Cru kit on the same order. This came with ground corriander and the Grand Cru came with whole seeds. The kit description in the catalog does not match what is printed on the box. The kit came with Pale malt instead of Pilsen. This kit uses bitter orange peel and the Grand Cru kit comes with sweet orange peel. I opened the boxes and could not tell the difference. When I called and asked what the difference was the answer I got was "one is bitter, the other is sweet." This kit has too much bitter orange peel taste, or too much from the crushed corriander, not sure where the taste is coming from. The Grand Cru kit turned out awesome though, it's my favorite MW kit. I crushed my seeds from the GC kit in my magic bullet to a consistency that was more coarse than the ground ones in the Wit kit. I hope this review was helpful.

Hardly different from a wheat beer, but it was drinkable. I won't brew again.

Great color, body and head. The taste is more than just a wheat - the coriander gives this beer an exceptional taste from start to finish. Would definitely brew again!

I bought this kit hoping for a Blue Moon clone and was pleasantly surprised. While not what i was expecting this resulted in an awesome, smooth beer with a frothy white head. A solid wheat beer with pleasant undertones of the spices... It is getting better with age.

I keep this one in a keg in my beer fridge at all times. I steep the grains a little longer than calls for, and have found it to mellow the taste. The hint of orange is subtle, and although it is a wheat, I find it has fantastic taste and is a very drinkable beer. I have brewed this beer kit 10+ times and it never disappoints!

The natural citrus hints of the Belgian yeast goes splendidly with the crisp wheat base. This is my favorite homebrewed beer, also my cheapest. I like it so much I harvested the yeast so I can make it over and over every few months.

This makes a great smooth Wit Beer. The orange peel and coriander that you put in the boil make this kit stand out. I have made this kit several times and everyone likes it. I always have this ready for summer.
