I waited 4 hrs for it to activate and put it in the carboy. Nothing. The second one swelled as expected and is working in my carboy. Do not know how good it is yet.

I have made numerous batches of meads, melomels, metheglins etc. using this yeast and it has worked perfectly every time! Nice flavor/aroma profile attenuating just enough. None better.

Great for cider, too!

I used this in a cider and it turned out awesome! Makes it perfectly sweet, not too dry, unlike using a wine yeast. Will definitely use again.

Puny activation

Waited for 4 hours and only had a weak activation. This turned into almost no activity. Sounds like this product falls short of a 100% hit rate, I would just make sure to give it plenty of time to activate or not, so you can come up with a back-up plan or delay brewing if you have too.
I'll probably give it one more shot to pull through since I trust the brand.

My second shot at using this yeast worked much better than the first. I'd recommend leaving plenty of time for yeast activation, or working up a starter with this yeast since it seems to be a bit weaker when starting fermentation than most people are used to.

Love this product i brewed both a mead and a hard cider and used this yeast and did a stagered nutrient regiment. I got a great ferment for about a week straight. A++ in my book.

Have used this yeast 2 times making Hard Cider. Very easy to use and activate smack pack. Break inner nutrient pack, let sit at room temp for 3 hours and then pitch. Gives cider a nice fruity profile. Recommend using for cider.
