Happy Holiday Brew ALL-GRAIN Kit

This was one of my first kits from Midwest. I have brewed many other brews prior and wanted to try the Holiday Ale. I would compare with Great Lakes Cristmas Ale and choose this one over that! Ages Well too.

Brewed this about 2 months ago and I can honestly say this is one of the best kits I've brewed. Should have probably waited another month to break in to it but I couldn't resist. I've made many kits from Midwest as well as other competitors and this by far is my favorite. Will definately be making this one again next fall to age over the winter months.

Perfect for the winter season, just the right amount of spice flavor.

I'm always hesitant to make flavored beers.....it's not that I'm a purist, I just really enjoy beer-flavored-beers. That said, the very mild spicing, the tiny amounts of ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon that are used in this kit are so mild you almost have to be told they're there in order to taste them.

I live below the equator, so my christmas season sees highs in the 90's and lows in the 80's; that said this beer is fantastically drinkable even in the heat sitting by the pool looking at my christmas tree through the window. The mild spices give a hint of snowy-holidays past without the beer being too heavy to drink during the warmer months.

A great kit that will serve me every christmas.

I started brewing last year and decided to make this Holiday Ale in time for the Christmas Holidays. I always kegged my beer but decided to bottle this to give as gifts but kept some 22 ounce bottles for myself. It is smooth and has just the right amount of spice that provides the "holiday spirit" we all cherish during the Christmas season. I have one bottle left that I am saving for a special moment. I plan to make this a regular for the Christmas holiday and look forward to the 2013 - 2014 Christmas holiday. You will not be disappointed.
