Nice, easy-drinking red

This was my second kit and it was as easy as the first! The first was the WinExpert Coastal White. This is definitely a light-bodied red with a light flavor profile as well. I would have liked a little stonger flavor, but it is still a good, easy-drinking red. Nice for the summer when you want a red to go with food, but nothing too heavy. Is ready to drink relatively early.

Light and Fruity

Light easy to drink with lots of Fruit flavors, particularly Cherry. There is no oak in this kit so obviously no oak flavors. Really good slightly chilled. Thinking of adding some oak next time to balance it a bit, but got it on sale so can't complain a bit.

I made a batch of this back on January and took some with me on a trip to NY in June. Everyone loved it and asked me where I got it. I was proud to say I made it myself from your kit. My sister even asked me to send her some more but since I am not a licensed dealer I cannot ship it to her in NY. I just bottled another batch and needless to say I will be making more of this.

Good Red Wine

I'm not much of a wine expert, but it's tasty. I'll be making this one again real soon.
Follow the instructions. My wife and I had a bottle right when we bottled it and it was good, but it's been aging for nearly 2 months now and it's only getting better with time. I plan on bringing a few bottles to Thanksgiving Day dinner for my family to enjoy. If it keeps aging the way it has been, it should be really good!

Great Starter Wine

This was the first wine that I ever home brewed. It came with a Groupon wine making coupon kit. That being said, I wasn't sure what to expect with either the quality of the product, or the process of home brewing. Suffice it to say, I am very impressed.
When vinting this wine, I followed all of the directions and ensured that everything was sterilized at all times. When the first step had completed, in less than 24 hours, I was rewarded with gas bubling out of my airlock. After a month, I had a fine, golden-clear wine. Too easy.
The Coastal White is exactly what it says it is, a white wine blend. It is a touch on the dry side but not to bad. A bit crisp when cold. When tasting it, it is heavy on Chardonnay. Bottom line, it is extremely drinkable and will probably get better with age though I am not sure how long it is going to last.
One thing to remember... if this is your first wine, try maybe siphoning the wine into a second carboy, letting the any sediment settle for a few days, and then bottling it. I made the mistake of not doing that and when shaken, my wine is just a tad cloudy.
Bottom line, great basic white wine. If I do this again in the future, I will try to ferment it with a bit of French Oak for some added complexity.

WOW! My first endeavor in to homebrewing wine. My expectations were pretty low because I figured it was a cheap kit that just came with the starter pack. (Bought the Groupon for the starter kit. That was an exceptional deal that I also highly recommend for beginners.) The directions were easy to follow and the was a low maintenance that just absolutely turned out great and continues to get better. I had a bottle of it straight away (even though they told me to wait a month) and was super impressed. Had a bottle a week out and it was so much better and so. Can't say enough good things. This kit is one that I'll keep some around and use as a utility wine when it's just me and the wifey having a few glasses. Totally go for this one. Great deal. Great wine for the cost.

This was the first wine kit I made. I found it about the quality of the better box wines, but not better. Considering the price point this is very good value.

I find it to be a light - medium bodied Red. Mild fruit flavors and dry. No wood. It has been a popular pour around the yacht club after Sunday afternoon racing and is a perfect 'house wine' any time.
