This is not a book for the inexperience home brewer.
The author gives technical descriptions about mash chemistry which will be over your head if not experienced. Good selection of recipes too.

This is a well written and researched book, that covers a wide variety of Bock style beers. The author is entertaining so I enjoyed reading this book. A good variety of Bock recipes, with good instructions.

I got more out of this book than most others in the series. There is a lot of technical detail here. A detailed discussion of ingredients, mash temperatures, and various tips. Plus a good assortment of recipes.

The book gives you the low down on bock done right, rather than pieced together with shortcuts and cheaper inferior ingredients. It's fairly advanced and I would not recommend it for the inexperienced brewer because the author gives very technical descriptions about mash chemistry which are important to understand for this style but would be very overwhelming if you are starting out. If you are an advanced brewer I recommend you read it.
