Classic Beer Style - Continental Pilsener

This was a great read; especially since I love German style beers. If you're looking at brewing your first pilsner or lager you should pick this up.

It's hard to make a crisp, clean, properly hopped Pilsner lager, and this book helped me a lot. You won't be able to match the authors efficiency, but you will learn a lot about materials and technique. The recipes are good, especially the Pilsner Urquell.

This is one of my favorite books of the series. It's short and to the point. The author doesn't go into a lot of detailed style and history discussions, nor does he get too technical. What he does do is present the basics, and he does it all in a easy to read style.
