Can't beat Corn Sugar...

When it comes to bottling home brew, you simply can't beat good Corn Sugar for good carbonation. I've had excellent results with this priming sugar through Midwest, and very seldom have to bottle condition for the recommended time. Dissolves fast in hot water, mixes well, and carbonates reliably well. Cheers!

I used the 5 oz priming sugar for every beer recipe I make! It has never failed me thus far. It even extends to fermenting specific to the type of beer you are making. It carbonated a Kolsch to a higher level which was desirable, while carbonating a Hefeweizen to a slightly slower level. I don't know how, but it seems to have a mind of its own and a smart one at that! I'm going to start buying in bulk!

Maybe it's my imagination but my beer tastes better when I use this rather than table sugar. I've always had good results with corn sugar, provided I use 5 ounces. With less it may be slightly under carbonated.

Dextrose (corn sugar) doesn't leave the cidery flavor that table sugar does. With the prices for dextrose potentially going up this year, it's a good idea to have some of this on hand.
You can't beat it for bottle carbing, and keg carbing with dextrose isn't bad either.

I've gotten good results with corn sugar, though it does seem to carbonate slower than table sugar. I think table sugar contributes a slight taste, whereas corn sugar doesn't.

The Midwest kits come with corn sugar for priming the bottles for carbonation, so if you are buying a kit you do not need this. I bought this when I tried my own recipe.
The 5oz package will produce about 2.8Vol of CO2 in a 5gal batch.

It's already measured, so all you do is boil and add it. I haven't noticed a difference when using plain table sugar, though.

I only use corn sugar, not table sugar. It helps improve my beers taste. I use 4.5 ounces, and if mixed up well in the bottling bucket gives you good carbonation.
