First and foremost, if you buy one of these please ensure you examine it thoroughly! When I rec'd this item I did just that and saw what I thought was a hair inside the top of the tee (You can see through the top where the ball valves are). No matter what I ran through there to clean it I couldn't remove it. Turns out I had to complete disassemble the device. More disturbing than that was the fact I didn't see a hair, it was metal shavings!! Swarf from the milling process of the brass tee. It was easy to pull out, but I had to disassemble, and reassemble which I REALLY shouldn't have had to do!
Also of a MAJOR concern is that the rubber stopper does not fit some bottles. It fits my flip top bottles, but many of my regular 12oz bottles, the stopper just drops right in!! In fact, the first time I experienced that it dropped INTO the bottle and off the filler! What a pain to get that back out of the bottle!
I will say that after I got the metal shavings removed and when using it on a bottle that the stopper actually fits, it works like a champ with no foaming (just fill with chilled beer and go slow)!! If I had not experienced the two problems that I did, I would have rated it 5 stars. However, the shavings and stopper issues make me want to rate it 1 star! So I went with a middle of the road, w/3 stars.
