Very good in a Pilsner Urquell Review by Jude

(Posted on 12/6/12)

Product Rating:

The aroma is mild, and the taste is herbal and slightly spicy.
Adds little bittering, but good for aroma and taste..
I will try them in a Bohemian Pilsner next time.

Nicely Spicy Review by Keith

(Posted on 12/12/12)

Product Rating:

This is one of my favorite hops. I've used in several times, and am always happy with the spiciness it adds. The product information reccommends using it in lagers, but I've used it in ales and IPAs and have been really pleased!

great for the right beer Review by cam

(Posted on 12/21/12)

Product Rating:

Excellent traditional hop for a good continental lager. I've used these with great success for Schwartzbiers, Pilsners and bocks at times. Kind of herbal, kind of spicy but neither is overpowering. The AA% is pretty low so can be added for a minimal bittering addition but I like them as aroma and flavor additions. Kind of my go to for Pilsners

Better than the US grown Saaz Review by Jon

(Posted on 1/30/13)

Product Rating:

There is a difference between the US grown Saaz and the European grown. The US Saaz are harsher, and it's noticeable. I'll pay the extra 50 cents to make 5 gallons of a better beer. I use them in Czech Pilsners, and they are well suited for that style.

great for Belgian beer Review by DC

Product Rating:

Belgian is my favorite style and I like Saaz for the aroma and flavor it gives. I don't want a lot of bitterness in my Belgian anyway, so this is a perfect hop for it.

Tried to grow these but didn't have much luck. So I broke down and purchased some. They are great for Pilsner style beers.
