Tastes like England, sort of Review by Levi

(Posted on 12/5/13)

Product Rating:

I have had a few ales in Britain and was hoping this would recreate the same taste. Maybe it's the atmosphere, the water, or just my inexperience, but I don't think this quite met my high expectations, it was good beer, just didn't take me back to the pub.

Product Rating:

this may hit the "english bitter" profile, but it is not a bitter beer. The added grains are just enough to give it extra body and mouthfeel. The hops are well balanced. A good beer kit.

I like this kit. It wasn't bitter at all and the hops were well balanced.

Easy Drinking Smooth Brew Review by Randy

(Posted on 6/20/13)

Product Rating:

I think this about my 6th or 7th brew kit and I have to say my favorite so far. It is not a Hop bomb or High alcohol content brew, but just a smooth drinking session ale that you can kick back and relax with. Not a whole lot of ingredients but comes through with flavor and quality. I think this will become my house brew but still experimenting with other kits. Will be coming back to this kit again and again though.

Great Beer Review by Tony

Product Rating:

Very drinkable, with a nice balance of malt and hops. But as bitter or strong as US IPAs.

Product Rating:

Not bitter at all...I think they should call it "English mild". The flavor is mellow and balanced with the hops. Not too much ABV, so easy to drink too. Will brew this again.

Very Drinkable Review by Owen

Product Rating:

So this isn't the most complex beer in the world. And maybe it's not the most interesting beer either. What it is, though, is a perfectly tasty, crisp, simple brew. Perfect in a frosty glass on a hot day. It's a very light beer to begin with, but I added a little irish moss to keep it as clear as possible. Some days I don't want a heavier stout or more aggressive IPA, and a simple bitter fits the bill.

Like I bought it from the store Review by Jhartflyboy3

Product Rating:

Was trying to find a light beer to introduce my dad to better tasting beer than bud. This beer was pretty close to being light and still have some taste to it. I upgraded the yeast and I think it really helped. Smooth taste and really taste like it could be bought from the store as is! Great recipe

Weak, weak weak. This is a LIGHT beer, not a lite beer. Flavor was so so...but I need more fuel.

Great refreshing light ale! Review by Nick

(Posted on 3/26/13)

Product Rating:

This ale is a great refreshing light beer. Its low on the ABV but who cares, its a great light beer with a good bitterness from the hops. I will recommend when brewing this beer to let get go through secondary fermentation and sit for a bit in your keg or bottle, it takes a bit for the flavors to come out in this one. Tasted a bit watery right out of primary fermentation but finished great after a couple more weeks. Definitely a nice refreshing summer beer that tastes great but doesn't give you a heavy buzz if you drink a few. Will brew this one again.
