These are excellent shears and a pleasure to use. But they have 2 problems. Th blades will begin to rust so it's vital they be kept oiled. Once the rust sets in, they are a pain to open and close. The other problem is after cutting for 10 minutes, as sap or other materials build up, they get harder to open and close. If you are willing to oil them after each use, and keep them in wax paper so they don't get oil on anything else, then these are very good shears.

These are excellent pruners, but are prone to rusting. You have to wipe and rinse them off, dry them, and oil them after every use. Any pruning shear will accumulate sap or other sticky stuff and get hard to use and must be cleaned, but most don't rust right away. They cut well and are easy to use.
