These bolt-on leg extensions for the 14.5 Gallon Fermenator are a great feature for brewers that want to make both ales and lagers with the same unit. Since the legs are removable, you can place the Fermenator in you refrigerator for lager brewing. With the legs attached, the Fermenator is at the perfect height for easy siphoning into a Cornelius keg. The leg extensions may also be used with casters, which is quite handy for rolling the Fermenator into place after filling.

I had ordered these leg extensions along with the 14.5gal conical fermenter with tri-clamp fittings. I was a little skeptical of why these seemed to cost so much for just 3 stainless legs, but I'm more then impressed with the fully assembled fermenter.
The legs are just as highly engineered as the fermenter.
All holes and fittings are precision cut so everything lines up perfectly, no fiddling around with these. There are reinforcement plates welded to the legs where they arrach to the fermenter to stregnthen the meeting point. Everything lines up flush with the bracing supported by a piece of C channel. The legs and all bracing and hardware is complete stainless material, no cheap nuts & bolts here.
I mainly use my fermenter for ales and am not planing on refrigerating the fermenter, rather use it and have it out for display. These legs raise the overall height of the fermenter to a little over 4' tall. The fermenter seems much more significant and impressive once it is raised off the floor. The legs also make sediment dumping and yeast harvesting easier without having to crouch on the floor by the dump valve.

These extensions are worth the price and greatly enhance the fermenter.

I wanted the extra height because I also have the tri-clamp fittings. The legs are expensive but worth it. They are well designed and constructed. Everything lines up precisely so the surface is flush . My Fermenator is now four feet tall and with the tri-clamps its easy to remove sediment and collect yeast. All in all it's a great system.
