Corn sugar, also known as priming sugar, is an inexpensive fermentable sugar that produces alcohol without leaving the cloying residual sweetness of malt extract. Adding a small amount (no more than 10% of total fermentables) will increase alcohol content with minimal impact on taste. Adding 30-40% will produce a beer with a considerably lighter body than one brewed strictly with malt sugars (think American light lagers). 5 oz. (141.75 g).

I use 2-3 pounds for my hard ciders and fruit wines. It adds the alcohol and thins out the wine without adding an off flavor like table sugar does.

I use this sugar to prime my beer bottles, and I love to use it for making hard lemonade. I also use it for making hard tea, it doesn't impact the taste and its great to boost up the alcohol content.

I like to use this rather than tablets, seems to give a more even carbonation. Plus I can add more ore less to get more or less carbonation. Control is king.

Much easier to dissolve in wort than candi sugar or cane sugar. Works well for high gravity beers that you need to attenuate.
