If you are going to continue to make wine at home, you should get this unit. This is SO easy to use and works so well! Makes corking with #9 corks a breeze! So much better than the handheld models...

I am so glad I listened to a friend of mine, and went right to the floor model. It worked flawlessly, and I corked a case of wine in under 5 minutes. Definitely worth the additional cost. Highly recommended.

Excellent product, great improvement over hand-corking.

This is a great product at a good price. Once you've used a floor corker, you will never be able to go back to corking with a hand- held corker. This model perfectly seats the large #9 x 1-3/4" corks, which promotes better closure, less oxidation and better aging potential.
Note: Since this unit uses a nylon iris for cork compression, I do not recommend it for the very tough synthetic corks. For synthetic corks I recommend the Spanish corker with its brass iris.

Great machine. No assembly (well only 2 bolts with LARGE phillips head). Works wonderfully and a great price. I can cork bottles faster than my brother in law can fill them.

I filled my first set of 12 bottles an tried the first one and SNAP!!! Handel broke off. I let the #9 corks soak for 2 hours and squeezed slow, but SNAP. I had to jump through my butt to get the bottles back in the carboy. Midwest was great at refunding but I'm going to a floor model

I used a hand corker model (which I thankfully lost) prior to buying this one. This corker impressed me immediately, night and day compared to the hand models. Saves me time, and spilled wine!!

Should have purchased right away

I purchased the double handled corker and had been also looking at the floor corker. I received the floor corker as a gift recently and wish I had bought it right away. It makes corking so easy. The bottle holds in place and the cork goes in to the right depth. If you're planning on making wine for years, get the floor corker.

Too Easy

This corker is so easy to use. It would be nice to have an instruction manual and specs in case you have to take it apart to clean/lubricate (had to translate the basic maintenance instructions on the sticker), but I am mechanically inclined. :) Overall, I am very happy with the quality.

Outstanding Corker

If you are a serious wine maker, then this is the only way to cork. I use #9 corks and they zip right into the bottle, without presoak or anything.
The unit is not even strained by it. Now if my helper could fill the bottles as fast as I cork them, we would be screaming fast :).

My corker came with a small imperfection, it has a crack in the bottle base pad. This corker worked super and pushes corks with no effort, a kid can do it.
