High alpha with good yields and disease resistance. The main high alpha variety grown in Germany.

Development: Bred at the Hop Research Institute in Hüll.



Usage: Bittering

Aroma: Delicate floral and fruity impressions

Alpha Acids: 11.0 — 16.0%

Beta Acids: 5.0 — 7.0%

Co-Humulone: 21 — 29% of alpha acids

Total Oil: 1.6 — 2.6 mls/100g

Substitutions: Columbus, Nugget, US Magnum

Typical Beer Styles: Ale, Lager, Stout, Pilsner types

German Magnum hops give a clean bitter note at the end, a little bit will do you @ (14%AA). Then use your Noble hops (or whatever you like) at the end of the boil for flavor and aroma.

Comes as advertised, don't really know if the German vs. US comparison is necessary, but I have no regrets on choice.

Solid Hop

I just used 2.OZ in a black IPa. It had a nice clean flovor. It has high AA and helped bitter my bear. great hop aroma as well.
