Pleased with the Golden Malt Review by John

Product Rating:

I made a 5 gallon "test" batch with 6lbs Golden Malt without any other malt. I added 1 oz of Perle hops to the boil and 1/2 oz Perle for a 10 min finish. This is mild hopping, I like hoppy flavors but I really wanted to taste the malt more than anything in this test batch. 4 days in fermenter, 4 days in Corny Can, and a delicious, mild, golden ale in my favorite glass. This is a great base-malt any adjunct grains I add to this brew should give me the flavors I will be looking for, In the mean time, it is hot in Pensacola, so a mild blonde is perfect. 6# Price is fantastic, 5 gals of great beer for less than the cost of two 12 packs of FCW beer... :)

Fresh tasting Review by Koosman

Product Rating:

Unlike the prior place I used to buy at, these jugs taste god and fresh, and are not old or heat damaged. I use them all the time in most of the ales I brew.
I pour it out, then fill up the jug with heated water, shake, and the remaining extract dissolves and I get it all out.

Product Rating:

I use this LME as a base malt in many of my ales. It's a great base for a pale ale. Add it 30mins. into a 60 min. boil and you end up with a golden color. Good foundation upon which to add specialty grain steepings or partial mash runnings.
