I seen the ad and was curious, It all sounded good. I figured it would save me some time and hassle. I purchased a bag of 30 then I bottled 25 bottles of my wine and layed them all down for the big test :( To my surprise:( 15 bottles leaked! I replaced 5 with the extra zorks that I had ( I was hurt) The other 10 I had to scrounge up corks and a corker from my son. (WoW! What a hassle!) It was late, I was very angry, hurt and P/Oed at the same time.

Having no experience with wine making, I was petrified when it came to corking. Fortunately for me Zorks had arrived on the scene. I've bottled over 100 bottles of wine so far with no leakage and no spoilage in the bottles we've opened at home or shared with others. I transported them in checked luggage on airplanes both domestically and abroad with no problem whatsoever. Best of all the only equipment I needed for corking I already had - a nice rubber mallet. I highly recommend this product. The only way I can imagine there might be leakage is if the zorks aren't completely seated or possibly if the tear off strip had been damaged or removed. The recipients of my homemade wine have been thrilled that they don't need a corkscrew to open and that the cork can be used after opening to seal remaining wine.

You need the correct bottles like the 750 ml Amber Glass Hock Bottles bottles Midwest sells. Just push them on with the heel of your hand. No other seal is needed. You can store the bottles upright and they take less space. Opening a bottle is easy, no corkscrew needed, and you can re-seal it (spray in some private preserve to maintain freshness)

As long as you use the correct bottles they work great. I'd say this is the best product I've used for wine bottles. Easy to use and very decorative. It's so easy to put them on. You don't need a mallet. Just push them on. Taking them off is easy, and they can be resealed.
