This is a great starter kit for someone looking to go beyond soft cheeses and into hard cheeses. The materials provided are enough to practice before getting to serious into it and the price is reasonable. Instructions were simple and are specific to several different cheeses. Once hooked additional culture purchases will be required. Only thing that could improve this kit is the additional of another type of culture.

This is a very good kit for beginners who want to advance into making hard cheeses. The instructions are clear.
You get a good assortment of ingredients to work with, though I would like an additional culture.
The Monterey Jack was the best cheese in the kit.

I was given this kit as a gift and am having a lot of fun with it. Its got a good mix of ingredients to start making some good cheese. The instructions are fine but I got a book anyway.
