The convoluted (twisted) internal coil gives the wort greater surface area for contact with the cold water. This reduces the amount of water needed to cool the wort! The wort runs through one tube, while the cold water runs through another tube allowing for the shortest possible cool off times. Comes with fittings to hook up your own garden hoses.
This counter-flow wort chiller works best with the March Seal-less high temp pump. Simply run 3/8" tubing from the pump to the wort chiller, hook up your garden hoses, and attach 3/8" tubing out of the wort chiller to your brew kettle. Make sure to back flush the copper tube that the wort runs through to keep the unit clean and prevent bacteria.
