Do not boil in a 5 gallon or less kettle without it!

This stuff is amazing and has changed the way I brew. I'm an all-grain stovetop brewer (doing 3-4 gallon batches), and until I found this product had a hard time boiling more than 3 gallons of wort without boil-overs being a major pain.
With Fermcap, I can boil 4+ gallons within an inch of the top of my kettle and never worry about boil-overs. It just keeps a nice, rolling boil through the full 60 minutes. Great product!

For anyone who has even boiled over their starter in a pyrex flask, get this immediately. I went from a foaming volcano to a nice controlled boil, even close to the top of the flask.

Works great for yeast starter. You can still have a boil over in the flask if you neglect to watch it and the boil gets way too vigorous but that was my fault. Same with the boil kettle but but reduces foam greatly and makes it much easier to control. Not a fire and forget thing but a huge help.

The first few times I boiled my starter in my flask I had boil overs. So, I ordered this and it worked like magic. I keep it stored it in the fridge and use just barely a drop, mix it in, and you'll get a nice controlled boil. I haven't used it for the boil, or the fermenter, but I won't make a starter without it.

Used it in my 1G starter which always seems to boil out of my 5000ml e-flask. No worries with this stuff! Very impressed!

I was skeptical at first and was forced to use a 7.5gal kettle doing a nearly 7 gal boil. Talk about cutting it close! This stuff saved my bacon however. To be safe, I used two drops (doesn't really "drop" well, pretty thick stuff) per gallon of wort and added right before the hot break. It absolutely chewed through the foam and let me boil the 7 gallons down to 5.5 w/o any worries. Also great for adding to your primary if using a better bottle and don't have much head space. Also used in my 2L starters when making a massive starter with no worries of it foaming over and pissing off the spousal unit. Overall, a must-have item for the homebrewer. Even if not used/needed in every batch, its a great "tool" to have on hand and in your arsenal.

I use this for high gravity beers, keeps the foam low.
After I had a Belgian Russian Imp Stout (with a gallon of headspace) blow the carboy cap off and paint my ceiling at 4 in morning I thought I would give this a try. I really do love this stuff!
