Caramel (Crystal)

Known as Caramel Malt by US maltsters and Crystal Malt by their counterparts across the pond, they are essentially the same. Caramel/Crystal/Cara malts add color, flavor, and sweetness to your beer. The lighter a Caramel Malt the more sweetness and lighter color and flavor it will contribute, the darker they are the more body and deeper color and flavors they will add.
