An English hop variety introduced in the 1990's, and is one of the first dwarf hop varieties. It was bred from Whitbread Goldings Variety and a dwarf male. First Gold has a nice (Goldings-like) resiny and strong cinnamon aroma with hints of woody character and black pepper. It is like a spicy Goldings hop.
