Honey Steam

To keep up with the popularity of California Common style beer, we now offer another steam style recipe. This ale is fermented at ale temperature using lager yeast. The sweetness of the honey is balanced nicely with the liberal use of hops. We do not recommend brewing this recipe without using the California Liquid yeast. Our ingredients for this recipe include: 6 lb. Gold liquid malt extract, 3 lb. Minnesota clover honey, 8 oz. Carapils, 8 oz. Caramel 40L specialty grains, 1 oz. Northern Brewer, 1.5 oz. Cascade hops, yeast, priming sugar and a grain bag.
