We did not buy this corker here, but we have this exact same corker AND IT DOES WORK. Under additional information please read those instructions. Especially this part:
“ The nut with washer positioned on the insertion punch can be used to adjust the desired height of the cork inside the bottle neck (it is usually inserted for 17mm).
Example: height of the cork 40mm, height of the head of the corking machine 50mm. If you want to insert the cork in the bottle for 17mm, then 23 mm will remain outside of the bottle.
The nut with washer needs to be screwed or unscrewed at 27mm from the end of the punch.”
You need the champagne cork that is exactly 30.5mm by 48mm. So you need to take that example above and switch it out with new numbers since the cork length is 48mm instead of in the example that says 40mm. It is very important your calculations because if you don’t drive the in the right length it will either be too much outside the cork and you won’t be able to take it off the corker or it’s too far in and won’t be able to cap the hood correctly. Once dimensions are right it will do the mushroom bulge exactly right and it’s almost as easy to put in as a regular cork, again when the dimensions or correct. Got it right on the second try and had no issues after that.
