Italian Sangiovese (World Vineyard)

Sangiovese has lively fruit, smooth tannins, a hint white pepper and warm toasty oak which combine with a healthy acidity to make it one of the most food-friendly of all reds. It pairs well with pasta, veal Parmigiana, intensely flavored cheeses, and fruits like cherries, figs, plums and raspberries.

World Vinyard Italian Sangiovese Review by andrewhmancini

Product Rating:

Oak flavor is minimal, body is medium, flavors were undesirable in months 1-3. Smell of fermentation month 1, banana month 2, month 3 tasted like a decent table wine. Will add review if I dont drink it all by month 6. Pretty good wine, but must be patient. Easy kit start to finish. Maybe consider adding oak or tannin to this kit.

Product Rating:

This was a very easy wine to make, fermenting quickly and cleared nicely. The wine tasted great early. We served it over the holidays at three months and our friends couldn't believe it was homemade. You won't be disappointed with this kit . Only problem is that you'll need to make two kits to let one batch age as everyone recommends because our only batch is gone!

Product Rating:

Medium bodied red wine with a mellow flavor. I'd give it at least nine months, a year is better. For the price a good value.

A good red Review by Dan

Product Rating:

This wine needs 9-12 months before drinking. I added some tannins to deal with it's thinness, but overall it has nice flavor and aroma. Its a good red for dinner.

Outstanding - with a few tweaks Review by Roger

Product Rating:

I made this wine this summer and it is not about 3 months in the bottle. I find it an excellent table wine. I did make a few 'enhancements'. I added a pound of sunmaid raisins and 4 tablespoons (yes, tablespoons) of tannin to the secondary and let it ferment to dry. I also added American Heavy toast chips, but I think I will leave them out next time. The raisins and tannin brought a good wine to a very good to excellent wine. I will definitely make this again.

Product Rating:

Its a nice wine, kind of on the dry side with mellow flavor and aroma. It improves over time, and is at it's prime a year after bottling.

Product Rating:

The kit makes a good red medium body table wine. I gave it 12 months to mature just in case, and it was ready.

This is a good red wine. Be sure to leave it in the bottle for about 10 months. Has a medium body with a mellow flavor.
