Got these to brew an English IPA. The hops were old, brown and dried out. Very disappointed in the quality.

Very understated Hops. Really helps bring the malt flavorings to the forefront of your beer. Description of this variety of hops is almost spot on accurate.

I agree with the second poster (NatBrown)

Mine were yellowed and brown and not at all resiny or fresh scented. Was using them for secondary dry hopping and hope it works. Too late to get a new batch, even at their expense. Had to throw them in. They are in there now -see what happens.

Past their 'use by' date.

Mine were also to poor to use. I was hoping to use these for finishing an IPA. When I opened them they were brownish and what little aromatics they had left were not very pleasant.

After 15 good shipments from MIdwest, experienced the same
bad Kent Golding hops problem as other reviewers. These hops were drier than autumn leaves. Knowing the hops will be replaced doesn't help -- would prefer to have an inidcation that the problem will not occur due to qualtiy control measures (randomly screening the sealed packages and changing suppliers). It is frustrating to work on a 5 gal. batch and discover at the end of boil that there is no aroma hops. Waste of brewer's time and money.

I've dry hopped with these and also added some to a tea ball submerged by the dip tube in my keg. Not too bad, but I prefer to use the pellet hops as I find the quality a bit better,
