I usually like the darker, heavier stouts but this is an awesome beer! This is one that I will repeat over and over again. It's a nice change from the stouts that I usually make.

This was my first attempt at all-grain brewing, so I wasn't expecting too much. I fly-sparged this brew, using two 5 gallon coolers. One to hold the water and another for the grains, I was worried about the strength of the wort. During the end it wasn't very sweet, I didn't get a full five gallons when I fermented the batch. I also didn't add any additional water, I have found with other batches that a full 10 gallons of water is required to make 5 gallons of beer. I think I used 15 for this batch, my freshmen mistake.
Well after a month in the fermenting (I used a secondary) and 3 weeks for carbonation and another in the fridge I finally had 1 liter last night. It was crazy good, if this was my worst (first) attempt I can imagine the other beers I've made from midwest being just as great. Its a waiting game :(
This beer is smooth, strong and tasted fantastic. I had quite a buzz after drinking just 1 liter. Was better than any cream ale I've ever bought and this will be on the to-do again list very soon.
Try this, you will like it!

This kit smelled so good when I was brewing it. I knew it was going to be delicious.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this batch. I am going to brew it again.
This time I want to try adding a clarifying agent or maybe a secondary fermentation.
The beer was not as clear as I wanted. I have never brewed a cream ale before and I have no idea what it was supposed to look like.

I brewed this a few times and came out great both times. I am going to brew this every 3rd brew, this one always goes the fastest. 1.5 weeks primary, 1.5 weeks secondary then force carb and chill 1 week, It really gets good at about 3 weeks in the keg, Tasty!

As my first AG brew, not knowing what to expect, I thought the color was off but who cares... this beer is great.
I cut back 15 minutes on the hops to 45 minutes. My batch size came up short to 4 gals., 7 days in primary and 14 in secondary. There is good flavor and no noticeable bite or bitterness. This ones a keeper for me - I'll brew this again for sure.

This Cream Ale is a keeper! Only two weeks in the bottle conditioning stage and sampled one. My daughter sampled it not knowing what it was and said it tasted like a Blue Moon beer. The power of suggestion and not having a comparison on hand, I kind of thought she may be right. If you try the Liberty Cream Ale, you will not be disappointed.
Note: My OG was 1.048 (temp corrected) 2 points higher than the range listed in the instructions, but that just meant good efficiency I suppose, however I suspect that Midwest may have been generous on the grain bill. I didn't weigh it, so I will never know. Thanks Midwest for an excellent recipe!

I have brewed this recipe with Wyeast Headwaters, 1056, and Safale US-05. All have turned out very well. I've also dry hopped with 1oz Willamette or Cascade. This is a simple, solid recipe for a beer everyone will enjoy. Add it to your rotation.

This was my first All-Grain brew and i think it's one of the best beers I've ever had. I admittedly had help from a friend that works for the "Brewer Patriot" brand of beer but my efficiency was very good. It started at 1.048 and ended at 1.011. One week in the primary, one week in the secondary, and three weeks in the bottle.

This was the first all grain kit I brewed so I was very inexperienced when I made this beer. After a 2 stage fermentation, I kegged the beer. First samples were a little bitter, so this beer sat for a while. After aging for about a month in the keg, this beer REALLY turned around. the sharpness was gone and the beer smoothed out with a GREAT flavor and smoothness. I highly recomend this brew as a lighter ale, but it will really improve with age. I definitely will be brewing this again!
