Liberty Cream Ale Kit

This is the first beer I ever brewed. Frankly, I was a little intimidated by the process. When it came time to bottle, I opened the fermenter and said, "Smells like beer." I looked inside and said, "Looks like beer." After the bottling, my wife and I had a small sample and said, "Tastes like beer."

My wife and I liked it. Our friends liked it. By the time we were drinking the beers that had waited the longest, it had acquired something of a sophisticated taste. I would definitely recommend it.

This was the first kit I did! It turned out great and all of my non-home brew friends loved this beer. You can't go wrong with this one.

I made this one. It was my first kit beer. It tasted horrible. I had to throw in another yeast as the yeast it came with did not do too well. It tasted like a wet sock. I have read comments from others saying it is a bad tasting one, too.

Super smooth beer with kind of a sweet, malty finish. Control the sweetness by changing up the brewing time for the bittering hops and holding some of the malt back for the end of the brewing period.

Great beer to offer family and friends.

I brewed this using the Wyeast Activator 1056 recommended by Midwest. Two weeks in primary and two weeks in secondary. I have just brewed it for a second time and hope it comes out as good as the first batch.

I brewed this one as my second kit last summer. It was easy. In the future, I will probably leaving the bittering hops in a shorter period of time. Overall, it came out great, and the last few bottles(2 months old) were mellower and smoother. I am going to try Honey Bee this week and do a comparison.

This was the first light ale I made, and was very easy to make. Girlfriend loved it so much she wants an entire batch on tap just for her college graduation.

I first brewed this based on Midwest's statement that it was one of their best selling. Out of the 7 or 8 recipe's I've tried as a new homebrewer, this is by far my favorite. Not too light, but definitely not as hoppy as an IPA or bitter as a Porter - just really refreshing. Drink it very cold and enjoy. I'll probably start my 3rd batch of this soon.

This was my third brew and as with the first and second, this one also came out great. (Autumn Amber Ale and Honey Weizen), I now have a nice selection to offer family and friends. Batch #4, Sweet Mead, is about to be moved from the primary to the secondary.

After brewing six or seven recipe kits, this was my first light ale. I only deviated from the recipe slightly, and used a dry yeast. It turned out great! Surprisingly full flavored, but not too heavy. Even my wife loved it, and she isn't much of a beer person. I give it two thumbs up!
