Product Details

8 Gallon 304 Stainless Steel Kettle

The 8-gallon MegaPot is ideal for performing a full wort boil on any 5 gallon batch. A full boil helps to improve hop utilization and avoid caramelizing the malt extract. This is a great upgrade for any extract brewer, but will work as a boil kettle for 5 gallon All-Grain batches as well. While it can work as an All-Grain mash tun using the Universal False Bottom, the smaller size will limit your grain bill to lower gravity beers. The 8-gallon MegaPot is a perfect upgrade for the extract brewer who wants the benefit of a full wort boil. Improve hop utilization and avoid caramelizing the malt extract.

Crafted of 304 stainless steel for ease of cleaning. The 1 to 2 proportion of MegaPot has been scientifically designed to promote a vigorous boil and reduce off-flavors making it the ultimate homebrew kettle. The heart of the kettle is a 4mm thick Tri-Clad bottom, made specifically for even heat distribution. Stay cool silicone handles on the kettle and lid serve to limit scorching! The handles are riveted in place to aid in lifting a hot liquid-filled pot. A polished stainless steel band surrounds the upper rim, reinforcing rigidity of the pot. And that's not all. We've added the feature that every brewer wants in a kettle - graduated volume markers inside the kettle - one at each gallon.

Megapot mega satisfaction

First brew with it today talk about control with double bottom. Old pot always had burnt sugars on bottom that took tons of cleanup not this monster. The graduation marks were very helpful as well recommending this to all my home brew buddies.

Sale price was a good value.

Only problem is the weight. I'm an 80-year-old Vet who isn't as strong as I once was; so, it makes it necessary to get help getting a batch of wort off the stovetop and into the ice bath. At the same time, it's sure nice to avoid the scorched wort on the bottom of the cooker!

Very Nice Pot

I had been using a porcelin canning pot for decades to brew. I finally broke decided it was time for a better (and larger pot) so I ordered the 8 gallon megapot. This is a very sturdy, well buit pot that has a nice thickness and sturdiness to it.

Great kettle

When I first started brewing I bought a cheap internet pot. It was ok but was subject to scorching if not tended to. I have now used the mega pot twice and it makes a huge difference. This is a very well made piece of cookware. The clad bottom eliminates scorching by providing more even heat distribution.

Brew Kettle

I am very happy with my 8 gallon brew kettle from MegaPot. It is very high quality and perfect for 5 gallon batches. I am also happy is not drilled. I have a larger pot where the drilled accessories just get in the way. What I learned is that for 10 batches and bigger, the accessories are helpful. Not so for 5 gallon batches.
