A good base, depending on how much grain you are crushing, I flanged the bottom opening of this base to handle faster grain crushes with the MM3.

You need a base with a mill

Once you get your mill, you need a base.
This one is reasonable, and works fine.
It would take you longer to measure and cut it yourself.
I just wish the hopper was a bit less.

There isn't a ton to say about this base plate. It's a cut and rounded out piece of MDF. That being said I have a lack of power tools and time at the moment so for the $$ it was worth it.
Keeping your MM3 square also is important to make sure that all rollers spin freely. This bored makes sure that the baseplates sit level and square and everything works as it should.

I got this and the hopper, but I could easily have made this myself, since I have the tools, and the inclination to make a base. You need to have a base for the Monster Mill to function so for $10 this is not bad.

It's durable and cut correctly. Your monster mill needs a base in order to function so you either buy this or make your own. This is a good deal because you need to be precise with your measurements. It would take you a trip to Lowes and the right tools to make this. For $10 I think it's a bargain.

I bought the Monster Mill 3 and didn't have the time to make a base so I bought the base and hopper. I could have done a better job, but it work fine, and saved me the hassle. No complaints.

My monster mill wont work without a base, so I bough this. It does the job, and it's a lot easier than making one myself. The added benefit of this base is it fits exactly, so no messing around with holes that are off by 2 millimeters and don't align.

The base is solid, an aligns perfectly with the mill. Either buy this or make your own, and don't be off by 1/8 of an inch anywhere. I'll take the ready made base for $10.
