For not much more than the cost of this handle you can get an electric drill. So why have this in reserve when you can use the same money to buy a new drill. The handle does work, but it's a chore to grind 10+ pounds of grain.
Save yourself the hassle and get a drill instead.

A waste

It doesn't fit the Monster Mill well, you have to file down one side. And it takes a long time to grind, let me tell you. This is not a viable alternative to a drill. You can use this once in a while, but after a few minutes it gets old real fast.

Backup

I got this because I frequently make small batches and don't mind grinding a few pounds by hand. Larger grain bills are more time consuming, but I don't mind since I split my time up and do a few 5 minute grind sessions. I can easily see how some would not enjoy 15 minutes of grinding so I give it 3 stars.

A solid crank

This is not a thin flimsy crank, its strong and will last. I got it because I don't mind hand grinding and I wanted to grind at a low speed. The problem with drills is they crank at a high rate and that results in husks being torn and grains being turned into flour. I crank at less than 2 cranks per second so the grains are crushed well, and not ripped up.

Love the mill, but not the crank

The crank isn't as long as I'd hoped so it takes a lot of time and turning to grind grain. I also had to file down an end of the stainless steel rod to get the crank in. The mill is very good, but the crank is not in the same class. Better to instead buy a drill.
