Great size, well made, and super price - It needs a little breaking in with water to get the surface finsh smoother and clean. Made in India. Quality lab ware. I use it to crush Juniper Berries.

Good quality, not some cheap thing from China. Grinds well.
Big enough to hold enough herbs without having to do many small batches.

Some herbs and spices are hard and not easy to break apart, and this is perfect for grinding them so they have a much larger surface area in the secondary. I even grind up spices for other things, so its useful for general kitchen work.
Fairly solid, should last a long time.

This is good quality, but it needs a little breaking in to get the surface finish smoother and clean. I use this for grinding the seasonings for my Belgian beers.

This is a reasonable size for the quantities I grind up. Its good for grinding up seeds and dried things that I break apart. It needs a little breaking in as the surfaces are not all uniform, but other than that, it's fine

A lot of brewing spices need to be ground up and this mortar and pestle is pretty good and inexpensive. It grinds well, and is big enough to hold seeds and other flavorings.

Great for grinding anything you need in the brewery or kitchen. I love it since it reminds me of the ones I had in my science classes growing up.
