Easy and Excellent

The only reason this gets 4 starts on quality rather than 5 is that it has room for improvement. It's an excellent beer for those who like malty beers where hops play only a small role.
It makes an entirely credible bock on ale yeast (if you keep the temps at the lower end of the range).
I highly recommend substituting 1lb of the 2.2lbs sugar called for with DME. (So 1lb DME, 1.2lbs dextrose.) Also, it really starts to shine after a few months of conditioning. This is currently my staple brew that I keep in the pipe all the time.

My wife and many of our friends love this, we never run out. Made according to the label. Sweet, malty, not hoppy.
The connoisseur line of Munton kits is the best around.
let me pour one for you - this is my utube vid.

Outstanding brew that is easy for the 1st time extract brewer. Guests come over and immediately start drawing one from the keg. Even non-beer drinkers like it. Let it age for a few months and it will be the very best beer you've ever had!
