Oak Essence

This essence has more of a woody flavor. Not very much in the way of smokiness or any sort of vanilla notes. Obviously, using real oak is a much better way to go if you have the time.

This does add an oaky flavor. I prefer using real oak, but if that is not an option this works. Adding this to something you already soaked with wood adds nothing and might even take away from the flavor you are looking for.
